Presentation of an ADC

Presentation of an ADC (Antibody-Drug Conjugate)

ADCs (Antibody-Drug Conjugates) make up, with immunotoxins and radio-immunoconjugates, the class of targeted therapeutic agents of immunoconjugates. The concept involves using the specificity of an antibody to target the tumor cell and vectorize a highly toxic agent that is associated with it. The cytotoxic agent is chemically coupled to the antibody through the intermediary which will allow, after internalization, the release of an active form inside the targeted cell. Depending on their natures and mechanisms of actions, several molecules of the same drug can be conjugated by antibodies.
